Your responsibilities

  • Ordering reagents, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring quality documentation and data handling
  • Tissue extraction and primary culture from laboratory animals
  • Analysis of cells/tissue using molecular/cell biology techniques including immunofluorescence, biochemical assays, etc.
  • Learning additional techniques related to molecular/cell biology, nanomaterials chemistry, and optics (training will be provided)
  • Carrying out independent projects within the context of the group's aims
  • Training other group members in molecular/cell biology techniques

Your qualification

  • A strong background in chemistry/biochemistry and molecular/cell biology
  • An appropriate university degree (bachelor)
  • Prior experience with animal handling, cell culture, biochemical assays, and optical microscopy (preferred)
  • Prior experience as technical assistant or lab manager
  • Desired qualifications
  • Ability to learn new skills, work with others, and manage a diverse range of tasks
  • Excellent communication skills in English and preferably also German
