The Comprehensive Pneumology Center (CPC) at Helmholtz Munich is a translational research center for pulmonary medicine, which is also a partner site of the German Center for Lung Research (DZL), an association of the leading university and non-university institutions for lung research in Germany.

Your tasks

  • General coordination tasks
  • Laboratory work under instruction
  • Preparation of tissue sections
  • Experimental work in the cell culture laboratory with coordination, planning and execution of in vitro experiments (primary murine and human cells, cell lines, SI/BIOII)
  • Documentation and organizational tasks for archiving and cataloguing human samples, data preparation and evaluation including laboratory organization

Your profile

  • Completed training as a Technical Assistant, e.g. MTA, BTA or MTLA with several years of professional experience
  • Very good knowledge of sterile cell culture work
  • Practical experience in the cultivation of primary cells and cell lines
  • Confident handling of Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team

If you fulfil all the requirements, you may be eligible for a salary grade of up to E 9b. Social benefits are based on the Collective Wage Agreement for Public-Sector Employees (TVöD). The position has an (initial) fixed term until 31.12.2027 but may be extended under certain circumstances.
