Munich
At Helmholtz Munich, we develop groundbreaking solutions for a healthier society in a rapidly changing world. We believe that diverse perspectives drive innovation. Through strong partnerships, we accelerate the transfer of new ideas from the lab to real-life applications, improving lives.
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher (f/m/x) to develop advanced physical and computational models integrating transcriptional and biomechanical data during mammalian gastrulation. This position is part of an ambitious interdisciplinary project in collaboration with Professor Shankar Srinivas (University of Oxford) and will be based in Dr. Antonio Scialdone’s group at Helmholtz Munich, a leading European hub for AI in biology.
The successful candidate will design and implement physics-informed machine learning frameworks and predictive models to uncover how gene expression and mechanical forces interact to shape embryonic development. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the interface of developmental biology, biophysics, and computational science, contributing to a pioneering effort to integrate molecular and mechanical insights in developmental biology.
What We Offer
If you fulfill all the requirements, you may be eligible for a salary grade of up to E 13. Social benefits are based on the Collective Wage Agreement for Public-Sector Employees (TVöD). The position has an (initial) fixed term of 2 years but may be extended under certain circumstances.
