Your responsibilities
At the Institute for Diabetes Research and Metabolic Diseases (IDM) and the German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD e. V.), Branch Institute Tübingen, we are seeking scientists whose main focus is on bioinformatic analysis in the context of clinical studies. The topics include genetic/epigenetic analyses, omics approaches, microbiome and organ (brain, liver, heart, pancreas, fat cells, kidneys), organ crosstalk analyses and data from imaging processes, primarily human data based on clinical research. One focus in particular is the further development of approaches for the characterization of sub-phenotypes in prediabetes. The individual working groups of the IDM should be supported in statistical and data-analytical questions. The place of work is in the Translational Diabetology department (Head: Prof. Dr. med. Andreas Birkenfeld). |

Provided that the prerequisites are fulfilled, a salary level up to E 13 is possible. Social benefits are based on the collective agreement for the federal public service (TVöD). The position is (initially) limited until 31.12.2025, under certain circumstances an extension can be arranged.
