The Department Communications and Strategic Relations (COMS) at Helmholtz Munich is responsible for all corporate communications (internal and external) and the generation of communication material – from photography to graphics. We manage media relations, are custodian of the center’s brand and responsible for the corporate website. We provide health information for the general public as well as for those affected, and support schools in health education. We offer advice to the scientists at the center in all matters relating to science communication.
Your responsibilities
- Provision of scientifically based and at the same time comprehensive information for patients, relatives and the interested public on all questions concerning lung diseases
- Writing online-suitable texts for the portal www.lungeninformationsdienst.de
- Conception and professional support for the production of explanatory videos
- Conception and production of explanatory podcasts
- Website tracking and measures for search engine optimization
- Maintenance of social media channels
- Project management for individual areas of the Lung Information Service Portal
- Project accompanying quality management
- Technical monitoring of the portal

Your qualifications
- Degree in health or natural science or human medicine
- Experience in the production of explanatory videos and podcasts
- Experience and ability to prepare scientifically complex content in an understandable, target-oriented and interesting way
- Experience in the maintenance of social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
- Experience in creating German texts suitable for online use
- Knowledge of evidence based Medicine and in “Good practice health information”
- Experience in working with the content management system TYPO 3 as well as with SEO and accessability measures
- Reliable use of common text, layout, graphics and image processing programs (MS Office, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Fluent written and spoken German and English
- High level of communication and teamwork skills

Provided that the prerequisites are fulfilled, a salary level up to E 13 is possible. Social benefits are based on the collective agreement for the federal public service (TVöD). The position is (initially) limited until 31.12.2023, under certain circumstances an extension can be arranged.
