Your responsibilities

  • Implementation and management of research grants & projects in the fields of bioengineering, biomedicine and biomedical AI at the national (DFG, BMBF, foundations), EU, and international scale
  • Continuous, pro-active and diligent support for all HPC PIs to warrant effective and compliant execution of all third party funded projects
  • Handling of project-related tasks with minimal supervision, including, but not limited to:
    • financial management and scientific reporting
    • monitoring of project progress
    • coordination/communication with central administration, funding agencies and project partners
  • Drafting and professional editing of manuscripts, grant proposals and scientific reports
  • Contribution to Grant-scouting and entpreneurial activities as needed

Your qualifications

  • Scientific background and advanced degree in engineering, life sciences or mathematics, Ph.D. level preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in science project management, scientific editing, ms/grant writing or equivalent
  • Fluent in both English and German (written and spoken) with excellent communication skills and high level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations and across hierarchies
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to reliably manage a broad range of tasks and responsibilities simultaneously

Provided that the prerequisites are fulfilled, a salary level up to E 13 is possible. Social benefits are based on the collective agreement for the federal public service (TVöD). The position is (initially) limited to two years, under certain circumstances an extension can be arranged.
