Your responsibilities

  • Assisting the team in performing routine laboratory work, tissue sectioning, immunofluorescence staining, PCR genotyping and FACS
  • Maintenance of our animal colonies and the data base
  • Cooperation with the internal department for laboratory animal husbandry (located in Neuherberg)
  • General lab organization

Your qualifications

  • Completed training as a technical assistant (BTA, CTA, MTA, biology lab technician or comparable) or Bachelor's degree in biology with professional experience
  • Ideally, first professional experience. Beginners are welcome too (if they are willing to learn)
  • Experience (or willingness to learn) in handling laboratory animals (especially mice)
  • Fluent German and English (spoken and written)
  • Strong independence and willingness to work in an international team
  • Very good organizational skills

Provided that the prerequisites are fulfilled, a salary level up to E 9 is possible. Social benefits are based on the collective agreement for the federal public service (TVöD). The position is (initially) limited to 2 years, under certain circumstances an extension can be arranged.
