We are Helmholtz Munich. In a rapidly changing world, we discover breakthrough solutions for better health.

Our research is focused within the areas of metabolic health/diabetes, environmental health, molecular targets and therapies, cell programming and repair, bioengineering, and computational health. We particularly excel in the fields of basic research, bioengineering, artificial intelligence, and technological development.

Through this research, we build the foundations for medical innovation. Together with our partners, we seek to accelerate the transfer of our research, so that laboratory ideas can reach society and improve people’s quality of life at the fastest rate possible.

This is what drives us. Why not join us and make a difference?

The Bioinformatics Platform of the Genomics Core Facility at Helmholtz Munich is looking for a highly motivated Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Bioinformatician (f/m/x) to join our team of experienced scientists.

The bioinformatics team provides primary, secondary and tertiary (custom) bioinformatic analyses, courses and consultation for our core users. The successful candidate will support these activities and perform a wide range of NGS analyses (e.g. bulk and single-cell RNA- and ATAC-Seq, ChIP-Seq, Genomic variation) to support various R&D projects. You will work closely with biologists, clinicians, computational scientists and staff from other core facilities to implement and validate new computational pipelines.

If you like to be part of a dynamic team working at the cutting edge of science wanting to make an impact in developing future health solutions, this full time position may be for you.
