The Research Unit Type I Diabetes Immunology (TDI) aims to advance our understanding of the immune mechanisms underlying diabetes and contribute to develop immune therapies to prevent and stop its progression and complications.

We are seeking a highly motivated scientific coordinator to join our research team!

Your tasks

  • Support department management and the department head with administrative tasks, literature research, and processing scientific topics.
  • Organize events, meetings, and seminars (e.g., Helmholtz Munich Immunology cross-topic activity, TRR355, and IRTG).
  • Provide support with order processing.
  • Create job ads, coordinate interviews, onboard staff, and assist with talent acquisition.
  • Identify third-party funding opportunities and assist with applications and reporting for funded projects.

Your profile

  • Scientific degree (Bachelor) in e.g. Biology, Biochemistry or similar and professional experience in a comparable position.
  • Experience in managing and organizing events, meetings and seminars independently.
  • Good command of English; knowledge of German is a plus.
  • Confident in using MS Office.

If you fulfil all the requirements, you may be eligible for a salary grade of up to E 10. Social benefits are based on the Collective Wage Agreement for Public-Sector Employees (TVöD). This position is for a fixed term of 3 years (initially).
