The established CPC Research School "Lung Biology and Disease" at the Comprehensive Pneumology Center/Institute for Lung Biology, Helmholtz Munich, is an international and interdisciplinary training program for postgraduate students in medicine and science. Building up on this expertise, we now aim to expand our MD/Ph.D. Training Program to create a unique structured translational training and education platform not only for respiratory medicine and science, but also in other areas in the context of the Helmholtz Munich Department "Environmental Health".

Your responsibilities

  • Developing and organizing events and training courses in the frame of the Research School, e. g. lectures, seminars, symposia, workshops, training schools, retreats and conferences
  • Management and further development of the training program including the writing of project proposals and reportsin close collaboration with the spokesperson and the involved lecturers and principal investigators
  • Contact person for applicants and doctoral students in medicine (MD) and science (Ph.D., Dr. rer. nat. und equiv.) regarding all organizational and university-related matters (administration of transcript of records/ECTS points, MMRS portal), as well as legal information and advice/support
  • Maintenance and further establishment of the Research School network, public outreach (Website, Social Media, Science communications)

Your qualifications

  • Postgraduate studies with completed doctoral degree in the field of biomedical sciences
  • Professional experience in project management and/or science management, ideally work experience in coordination of university programs or training schools
  • Team leading skills, a good intercultural understanding, high motivation, flexibility and reliability
  • Fluent in German and English, written and spoken, negotiating skills (further languages desirable)
  • Very good command of MS-Office
