Your responsibilities

  • Development of advanced methods for preclinical testing of inhaled drugs
  • Clinical validation of lung-on-a-chip & animal models for drug testing
  • Translation of preclinical results into new concepts for precision inhalation therapy
  • Project management and supervision of Ph.D students

Your qualifications

Must qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Biotechnology/-engineering, Biomedical Science/Engineering, Biophysics or equivalent fields
  • Several years of experience in at least one of the following fields: pulmonary drug delivery, aerosol technology, biomaterials
  • Basic experience with cell culture, molecular biology, handling of mouse models
  • Proven expertise in interdisciplinary and translational research
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication/presentation/scientific writing skills in English

Nice-To-Have qualifications:

  • At least two years of postdoc experience
  • Experience with advanced cell culture or lung-on-a-chip technologies, immunofluorescence staining, light sheet fluorescence microscopy and image processing, artificial intelligence
  • Good command of German language
