Our mission as research center: Discover personalized medical solutions for environmentally triggered diseases to promote a healthier society in a rapidly changing world.

The Helmholtz Pioneer Campus (HPC) founded and funded by Helmholtz Munich stands for the intelligent fusion of biomedical sciences, engineering and digitization. At HPC, top scientific talents from across the globe work together on the development of novel solutions that make a difference in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

The challenge

The 3D Genome and Molecular Neuroscience group headed by Dr. Boyan Bonev studies how 3D genome organization and epigenetic modifications regulate cell identity during brain development. Using highly interdisciplinary approaches such as single cell multi-omics, next generation sequencing, live imaging and computational biology, we aim to understand how chromatin landscape influences cell fate decisions in development and evolution.

We are based at Helmholtz Munich and hence part of an excellent network dedicated to epigenetics and neurosciences including the Max-Planck-Institute for Neurobiology, the Ludwig-Maximilian University (LMU) and Technical University of Munich (TUM) as well as broad international collaborations.

Our ambitious and interdisciplinary team consists of passionate and motivated people from around the world. To further support our research, we are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic
