We are Helmholtz Munich. In a rapidly changing world, we discover breakthrough solutions for better health.

Our research is focused within the areas of metabolic health/diabetes, environmental health, molecular targets and therapies, cell programming and repair, bioengineering, and computational health. We particularly excel in the fields of basic research, bioengineering, artificial intelligence, and technological development.

Through this research, we build the foundations for medical innovation. Together with our partners, we seek to accelerate the transfer of our research, so that laboratory ideas can reach society and improve people’s quality of life at the fastest rate possible.

This is what drives us. Why not join us and make a difference?

The Marr Lab at Helmholtz Munich develops computational methods to analyze single-cell RNA sequencing data. We work closely with biomedical and clinical experts to identify and validate new therapeutic targets for improving cell therapies.

Our TargetBio project uses advanced data analysis techniques to identify and validate antigens for safe and effective cell therapies. By leveraging large-scale single-cell data from healthy and malignant tissues, TargetBio aims to create precise, innovative tools that can guide therapeutic development while minimizing off-target effects.

Why Join Us?

  • Work in a research environment at Helmholtz Munich, gaining exposure to in single-cell RNA sequencing and precision medicine (CAR T Cell targets).
  • Develop practical experience in statistical analysis, frontend design, and system engineering within an interdisciplinary team of experts.
  • Contribute directly to a high-impact research project that aims to advance the field of cell therapies.
  • Flexible working hours tailored to suit your study schedule.
