Your responsibilities

We recently won the m4 Award sponsored by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, State Development and Energy for our research project “Beta Regeneration-Targeting ß-cell protection and regeneration for diabetes remission” with spin-off potential in the field of biomedicine. The successful candidate will work on the development of humanized monoclonal antibodies for beta cell protection and regeneration in diabetes models.

Your Tasks

Development, optimization and characterization of new therapeutic antibodies to support clinical candidate selection
In vitro studies: biochemical, immunohistological, immunology and molecular biology analyses
In vivo physiological studies in diabetes models
Preparation and implementation of preclinical experimental studies to evaluate and validate drug target candidates
Creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Your qualifications

PhD in biology, biochemistry, immunology or related subject and high interest in translational and clinical research
Strong background in structural biology, islet biology and physiology or understanding of the architecture and functional aspects of monoclonal antibodies
Ideally, you have around 3 years of work experience in drug development in a translational medicine or biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
Leadership and/or project management experience would be an asset
