Your responsibilities

Pre-award grant management:

screening for funding opportunities, support in writing grant applications, ensuring guidelines are met and relevant documentation is produced promptly

Post-award grant management:

project management, supervision of reporting, scheduling and administrative issues for third-party and industry-funded projects

Scientific coordination:
- establishment and maintenance of collaborative projects with diverse biological/biomedical/clinical research institutions, especially in the context of AI (e.g. serving as primary contact person, setting up partnership and data exchange contracts in cooperation with the legal department, organizing meetings, workshops, lectures, partner events, etc.)
- identification of new collaboration opportunities
- supporting the department management with administrative tasks, recruiting, controlling and infrastructures

Your qualifications

PhD degree in natural or data sciences
Experience in scientific project management and third-party grant management
Strong interest in biomedical issues and AI context
Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to manage a broad range of different responsibilities and work flows
Excellent writing and communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus
Ability to interact with scientists at different levels
Ability to work independently as well as in a team and with a high level of motivation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Expertise in bioinformatics, computer science or related fields as well as biomedical background knowledge is a plus
