Your mission

Early detection of disease is a key factor to improve treatment outcome and reduce healthcare costs. This project is part of an EU-funded grant, which develops a new screening technology that combines advanced infrared camera system with machine learning tools to efficiently analyze dynamic thermal patterns over time and detect vascular abnormalities for breast cancer detection and diagnosis. Addressing this urgent medical need, the successful candidate will work interdisciplinarily at the intersection of computer science, bioengineering, and medicine with collaborators from all over Europe.

Your qualifications

The successful applicant must have the following:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science/Informatics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent track record of research achievements and publications in top-ranked journals.
  • Strong motivation, scientific curiosity, and commitment to scientific excellence
  • Experience in image processing/computer vision and machine learning analysis
  • Practical experience with Python/Matlab/C++
  • Team player skills and enthusiasm to work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent command of the English language.

The following qualifications are considered advantageous:

  • Practical experience in image/video analysis and feature extraction using deep learning
