Our mission as research center: Discover personalized medical solutions for environmentally triggered diseases to promote a healthier society in a rapidly changing world.
The Institute of Biological and Medical Imaging (IBMI) at Helmholtz Munich and the Chair of Biological Imaging (CBI) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) are an integrated, multi-disciplinary re-search structure and form the cornerstone of a rapidly expanding bioengineering ecosystem in Mu-nich, Germany; including the Helmholtz Pioneer Campus and the Research Center TranslaTUM, which integrate bioengineering with metabolic disorders and oncology, respectively.
We now seek a highly qualified and motivated postdoctoral researcher (f/m/x) to drive the conduction of label-free imaging of cardio-metabolic parameters in animals and humans using multispectral optoacoustic tomography (MSOT).

Your responsibilities
The successful candidate will be instrumental in re-designing MSOT and adapting it to cardio-metabolic studies and validate the re-designed system for cardio-metabolic imaging against established gold-standard imaging techniques. Given the prevalence of cardio-metabolic disease in modern societies, this project has huge potential for high-impact research findings and exploitation. You will be integrated into a network of high-profile researchers within a novel DFG-funded research group, giving you excellent opportunities for scientific interaction and professional growth. |
